In this blog we give you our top 5 favourite places to socialise as a team after working hours...

Roland’s, Call Lane
This is an after work favourite of ours, located on Call lane, within 50m of our office! Roland’s is a homely, laid back independent bar serving up an array of local, national and international cask, draft, and bottled larger. The bar also has a great range of wine and serves up a mean Expresso Martini. Enjoy your drinks in their own beer garden/ courtyard (if the weather allows it).

We recommend
…our MD’s favourite the Einstok White ale.

Black Swan, Call Lane
Great atmosphere and craft beers by both American and local breweries. The Black Swan is brought to you by the same guys behind Leeds favourites, Sandinista, Blind Tiger and Smokestack. It’s the perfect space for after work drinks, a quiet lunch, or a client meeting. The venue has quieter side rooms if you require more space and privacy for meetings. If you get peckish, you have to try some of their Neapolitan inspired sourdough pizzas. (Visit on a Tuesday and get pizzas at 2-4-1)

We recommend…a bottle of the white Rioja and the chorizo and red pesto stone baked pizza!

Be At One, Millenium Square
Great venue for an after work social! Located on Millennium square the bar is relatively new to the Leeds bar scene but is quickly becoming a trusty ‘go-to’ for us. Visit during happy hour and get two of their mouth-watering cocktails for the price of one! Even if you visit outside of happy hour you can still make the most of great drinks deals with the Be at One app. Tap ‘Appy hour’ and get your cocktails two for £10 for an hour or be ‘appventurous’, let the app chose a random cocktail from the menu for you to sip at £5.

We recommendThe Blueberry Muffin - Absolut Vanilia Vodka, lemon juice, gingerbread syrup, blueberry jam, cranberry juice!

Headrow House, The Headrow

Sister bar of a Northern Quarter fave – The Belgrave music hall. We recently chose Headrow house as the venue for our end of month review. We made the most of the beers, cocktails and good music on level 2 of the venue – Redondo Beach, which leads to a huge outdoor roof terrace – the perfect sun trap for the summer months!

We recommend…a Classic Margarita or a pint of Pilsner Urquell on the roof terrace.

Old Tom’s Gin Kitchen, Hendonist Project, Lower Briggate
Old Tom’s is the most recent bar to be hosted at the Hedonist project. The Hedonist Project is a revolutionary concept bar that completely reinvents itself every quarter. We visited for a previous end of month review back in April. The venue offers a wide selection of cocktails and a British inspired menu. The new Hedonist project concept comes live at the end of the month and we can’t wait to see what’s next. If you manage to get in there before,

We recommend…The Roasted Barley Bramble – gin, lemon juice, bramble and lemon foam.
