#FinTechNorth #amsourcetechnology

What a great day at #FinTechNorth on Wednesday!

Hosted by aql, who power a connected society, this event truly did bring together a wealth of Banks, Financial Services, FinTech’s, Building Societies and Tech businesses to further connect and learn more about this exciting landscape from Skipton to Sweden and Leeds to Estonia and Israel.

Working for Amsource Technology, based in Leeds and focused on working with talented FinTech professionals with no geographical restraint, it was great to have even further confirmation what the North, and in particular Leeds, can offer to support the FinTech market growth in the UK and globally.

This can be done in a number of ways, which include the tax structure in Leeds to support innovation, the Leeds City Council growth strategy, the Leeds Digital program and Leeds Digital festival to highlight a few elements that make Leeds small enough to get things done but big enough to have a global impact!

Here is a brief overview of the visiting FinTech firms

Some very interesting solutions coming through to simplify certain processes, such as Findity who are leading the way to digitize and automize expenses! No more receipts and connecting seamlessly with finance and payroll. I know a lot of colleagues and contacts that would embrace this, a absolute no brainer.

Minna Technologies

A big eye opener for me (and everyone else I think) came from Minna Technologies, looking to transform online banking with subscription management. Already trusted by leader in Banking, Minna solve problems with code, agile development and data to support the delivery of a much better digital banking experience.

I had the pleasure to chat with Veriff who are changing the way we are protected by fraud so you can connect with customers anywhere by verifying identities crazy costing conversion and with fast checking sessions using AI.

Truly creating a one stop shop solution for businesses needing to accept all forms of payment methods. To create a smooth process for customers, they have a range of services that are white label so to enhance their own solution.  PayMe already have over 40,000 merchants using their services daily and include Banks, PSP’s and credit card companies.

Established this year, Stock Republic is an open investing platform for banks and aim to provide a trusted way of empowering bank customers in the world of mutual funds and stocks. Utilising AI, they can provide guidance from real data.  This can also be whitelabel and they will fully support a B2B mobile platform where only back end integration is needed.

I especially enjoyed the opportunity to chat with some of the speakers about how finding talent to scale up their technical and product teams to achieve their growth strategy in 2020. It’s certainly an exciting time for all of the organisations and the focus they have on the UK FinTech market. I look forward to learning more about how Amsource can provide solutions to these challenges.
