The 16th April 2018 marks the beginning of The North's largest digital festival, Leeds Digital Festival - a two week long celebration of all things digital in Leeds (ending on 27th April).
Over the course of the two weeks, thousands of visitors will attend the many events that will be taking place across the city to pay homage to Digital in Leeds.
A new feature in the events schedule for 2018 is the
Leeds Digital Festival Awards, which we are thrilled to be co-sponsors of, alongside
Ward Haddway.
The Awards will celebrate the success of individuals and companies and recognise their commitment to digital in the Leeds city region. It will also give people the chance to show their appreciation and recognition by placing their nominations for the following categories:
Entrepreneur of the Year, Start-up of the Year, Facilitator of the Year, Tech Innovation of the Year, and One to Watch 2018. (
Find out more here.)
The judging panel includes
Melanie Parker (Recruitment Specialist at
Leeds Beckett University),
Ismail Mulla (Business Reporter at
The Yorkshire Post), Gareth Yates (Head of Technology at Ward Haddaway), and Stuart Clarke (Director Leeds Digital Festival).
Also joining the judging panel is our Owner and Managing Director of
Amsource Technology,
Andrew Maeer. Here are his thoughts on being a judge at the awards...
"I’m delighted to be part of the judging panel at the Leeds Digital Festival Awards. Leeds has such a vibrant and talented tech community, and the Awards will be a great opportunity for both individuals and companies to showcase their successes to the wider tech community. I’m sure judging will be tough because there is such a large pool of possible winners!"
