Bar Chick…

“Award winning bar guide for drinkers across the world, providing you with not only the hottest bars but also letting you know when to go and what to do when you get there.”

What does it do?

Features are carefully curated bar reviews for the ‘best’ bars in over 60 cities worldwide.

What we thought…

"Great app - enables you to find some different places that you wouldn’t normally go to. The app was dead easy to use."

"When visiting a new city. This is my go to app. I prefer independent bars that you wouldn’t find on every high street in every city and bar chick focuses on recommending independent bars/ off the beaten track."

"The user experience of the app is good. You can tailor it to exactly what you are looking for in a bar and it will find you a bar that matches your criteria. For example, ‘killer cocktails’, ‘Somewhere you can take mum’, ‘date venue’, ‘late night drinking’."

"I recently went to London and this app was a god send. The location feature was really good so you could easily navigate yourself to the bar the app as recommended. Will definitely be using this app in the future."

"The app’s graphics could be better."

Sugar Smart…

“See how much sugar is in your everyday food and drink”

What does it do?

The change for life sugar smart app is designed to show how quickly and easily how much total sugar is in what you’re buying, eating and drinking.

What we thought…

"At this time of year we start getting a little bit more health focused. High sugar intake can be detrimental to weight loss and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I didn’t realise how much sugar I was actually consuming until I started used the app."

‘The app includes a scanner that detects how much sugar is in the item your consuming and shows you in cubes rather than metrics so you are able to get a more tangible take on how much is in your food/drink.’

"I’ve been using this alongside my fitness pal and I found it’s been quite motivating in terms of keeping on track with my diet and also has increased my awareness into what is actually in the food I’m eating."

"This app is a real eye opener. I have cut back on my sugar considerably thanks to this app. The usability of the app is great. Would recommend to anyone on a diet or looking to cut back on sugar"

What we thought…

"The concept of this app is brilliant. However the reality of it doesn't quite match up. Maybe I lack patience, but it just seemed like it took an long amount of time to set up, and I lost interest pretty quickly. The interface of the app is easy on the eye, but that's about it."

'A lot of the functions weren't available outside of the USA which was at times annoying"

"Great for recipes and storing recipe content to read over, and setting reminders"

What we thought...

This app is brilliant - easy to use, and great fun."

"My family and I used this app so much over the festive period. If you're anything like me, the prospect of board games will bore the hell out of you. Heads up is a fun alternative where all the family can get involved. Definitely worth the small fee for the app."

" Love the video play back feature of the app which allows players to replay their actions from each round. Makes for some entertaining viewing, especially for the 'hum the tune' round when the person your playing with is tone deaf."

"Every body needs to download this app. Love the variation of different rounds you can play. Me and my friends paid for a round devoted to 'Friends' the TV show which was really good."
