Automation Test Engineer required for an exceptional team in one of the fastest growing sectors within the Internet of Things industry. The role is based near Chester, and is on main commuting networks from Crewe, Warrington, South Manchester and North Staffordshire.

As the Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining both automation and manual test processes. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality and suitability of developed products, while ensuring all applications built meet or exceed the defined functional and non-functional requirements. 

This role provides an opportunity to work on exhilarating projects that have the potential to change the connected car space completely. You will have the opportunity to work with the best and latest technologies and have exposure to big data tools such as PIG, SPARK and HIVE. You will be working within an incredibly ambitious and intelligent Tech Team while continuously developing your own technical skills. 

The role requires a technical software tester who is also a passionate technologist with the desire to work in an agile environment. The role requires the aptitude to make decisions around appropriate test approaches, with strong collaboration and communication skills. 

Skills required: 
- Proven experience building automation frameworks with Selenium
- Proven development skills, ideally Java (C# or Python considered)
- Flexible and open in approach
- You love testing!
- Any experience of Postman or equivalent beneficial
- Ability to establish testing processes on new projects
- Experience of cross-browser cross-platform testing including mobile 

The salary on this position is flexible £40,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience.
